An altazimuth mount allows the user to move the optical instrument in both x- and y-axes. PORTA II's revolutionary design allows you to swing a telescope in both vertical and horizontal directions while maintaining its alignment with simple friction. It is simple friction which holds the axes in the final position. Comes with a tripod with aluminum adjustable legs.

Two slow motion controls along both horizontal and vertical directions allow you to track moving objects in the night sky with ease, which is very useful at high magnification.
